History

Through history we aim to help our children gain an understanding of the achievements of past generations so that they will begin to understand how change takes place and what effect this has on people’s lives. Wherever possible, we try to give our children first-hand experiences and to provide opportunities for them to use evidence, artefacts and documents. These help them make connections and to find the answers to key questions. Much of our work in history is supported by visits to places of historical interest or by visitors with expertise to share.
